Smell Identification Test (UPSIT)

This is a test used to identify the patient’s smell system and consists of four booklets each booklet containing 10 questions with a total of 40 questions

The test takes 10-15 minutes of your time

On each page of the booklet there is one question and a brown box that is scratched by a pencil provided with the booklets. When scratched a certain smell comes out. The patients need to sniff, identify and answer to the question on the same page.

You have to answer the questions even if the smell is not known to you and can’t be identified.

The outcome is defined according to the age and gender of the patient after full history and examination by the treating physician
